When creating a sustainable garment, the fabric is not the only thing that needs to be considered. Dyes, prints and buttons also need to be sustainable. At Alternative, we use completely chemical-free, natural dyes and have adopted eco-friendly printing techniques.

We have even skipped plastic buttons and zippers in favour of buttons made from discarded coconut shells and fabric scraps. Sustainability is a journey that’s made up of a series of small steps.
